Monterey County Free Libraries has been actively looking for ways to improve and sometimes replace its aging facilities. Facilities include the library buildings and bookmobiles.
Two bookmobiles were purchased through major support from the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries. The San Lucas Library is currently being rebuilt, also with the support of the Foundation.
