Words & Wine is the Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries’ annual celebration of books, community, and the power of free access to knowledge. Held each fall, this signature event raises critical funds for all 17 Monterey County Free Libraries, supporting programs that serve thousands of residents — from storytime for toddlers to Wi-Fi access for job seekers.
Each year, Words & Wine brings in over $40,000 through generous donors and sponsors who believe that literacy, community, and equitable access to information should be a right, not a privilege.
